Federal Reserve officials maintained their outlook for 3 quarter-point charge cuts this year but forecast fewer cuts than sooner than in 2025 following a fresh uptick in inflation. Charges were left unchanged.
Chair Jerome Powell says:
-inflation remains too excessive
-charge are seemingly at their height
-enhance has been solid
-economy is sturdy
